The La Scala Opera or the Teatro alla Scala is designated as one of the most popular opera houses worldwide. It was been launched on August 3, 1778 under the prominent Nuovo Regio Ducal Teatro alla Scala together with Saliri’s Europa riconosciuta. Nestling in Milan Italy, the teatro has been rushed with prominent figures when there are events held here. The previous theatre was being obliterated because of such fire occured, which is the prehistoric Teatro Ducale. Eventually, there are many proposals of making a new plan of theatre, but the only one accepted was the second plan during 1776 by Maria Theresa. Her planned of establishing a theatre succeeded which was built in the previous location of Santa Maria della Scala church from where its name was culled. Unfortunately, the theatre was destroyed during those periods until two years came that it was again refurbished and completed by the four personalities namely; Pietro Nosetti, Pietro Marliani, Giuseppe Fe and lastly Antonio.
The refurbished theatre features of about 3, 000 seats in which it was systematized into 678 pit-stalls, the loggione was being organized into six tires of boxes or two colonnades. Since then, because of these incredible changes the theatre became the largest stage found in Italy. La Scala soon became the renowned meeting arena of some of the luxurious people or the Milanese. Traditionally, the theatre’s main floor had no chairs to seat with and the viewers were obliged to watch the events standing. In fact, the orchestra can bee seen in full sight as well as the orchestra pit since it has not yet been built yet.
The “loggione” area is where the less wealthy viewers located, this gallery is found above the boxes of the theatre. Loggione on the other hand is mostly filled with viewers who were loved to criticize, who can also be delighted, or perhaps cruel towards the performers. But, La Scala is not only an area for significant events it was also an area for gamblers since they made it a place for casinos. The theatre features and contains incredible collection of drafts, paintings, statues, costumes and among others which in lined with the historical moments of La Scala. And because of this, the theatre was once hosting the “Accademia d’Arti e Mestieri dello Spettacolo” or the “Academy for the Performing Arts”. Everything looks awesome and perfect. There will be different artists performing on that stage and mind you that most of them were really renowned performers of the country. In Milan city, going to La Scala is an opportunity, no reason why most of the tourists visiting the city never forget to have time to drop in La Scala because the place deserves as well to drop with.
